Hmm. While many things come to mind, I am stuck on the word unforeseen. This makes me looks past things like family, testimony, education, friends, modern conveniences (there was a reason I was born now!!).
So if I am looking for something that turned into an unforeseen blessing, I might have to choose my camera. I never would have guessed the change that would come over me when I started having the desire to document my life. My kids. My world. I'm the crazy lady with her big ole camera everywhere. I know how quickly they grow, how fast things can change, and how faulty my memory. I can't tell you how often I think, "If I could just take a picture, I would remember..."
My camera helps me to remember, to record. I am more aware of what I am seeing. I often pause during my day and take visual snapshots in my mind of our activities. I feel very blessed to have a changed perspective and also to have been able to buy a camera that can do anything I want it to.
