today

i just erased an entire post of negativity. apparently it is oozing from me today. parenting, which has always been so fun for me, can be incredibly challenging these days. somedays the tween and i just dance a dance that i do not like. we have been having the same dull "conversation" so often that we are caught in the ruts of the muddy road and cannot get out. things are going to change. this is not good for us.

on the happy side, the plumber came and quickly and cheaply (considering it was a plumber!) fixed my pipe problem. hooray! hopefully now the cement downstairs can start to dry. i am so very grateful to have caught this one before it caused major damage. hip hip hooray!

lavender said a whole handful of funny things today. now i can't remember a one of them. hmm. will try to remember tomorrow.

watched some suze orman pbs special as i edited photos tonight. she noted that we need to want to save more than we want to spend. interesting idea. i remember when i used to live that way. wondering how i got sidetracked.

bought some fabric this week and then realized that it added on too many tasks to my very full todo list. consequently i went undergound. must work on an healthier response to stress.

watched a minute of death race on tv. which means it has been edited from its r rating. two words: jason statham. yum. rich knows. it's okay.

byu is playing today. nigel, bless his heart, is trying his best to sleep albeit the game is not over.

okay, grumpy pants needs some beauty sleep. or at least some kind sleep. more and kinder tomorrow...
