reason for reading: fun
I loved this book nearly as much as the first. It took me about 1/3 of the book to remember that these were the same characters. Doh! I was so embarrassed. Disregarding my complete absence of memory for a book I hold dear, I really did enjoy this book. I have trouble with circumstances gone awry when the chaos builds and builds, so there was a part of the book that was nearly too much to keep reading. I refrained from skimming and dashing ahead to the resolution, and must thank the author for wrapping up just when she did. Any more would have been too much for my gentle heart.
The story is plausible, the characters resplendent in their strengths and flaws. I truly enjoyed how the relationships between the characters deepened at a believable rate. And I am glad to have gone into the book blind as to the storyline, as I would not have believed it could be pulled off without farce or frustration.
favorite line: Piper, like Viper with a P
favorite character: cornelia, of course, but truly learned to love piper
